CrystaLac Surface Conditioner is made to remove oily fingerprints, clean sanding dust and debris, help with intercoat bonding and to prevent "fish eyes" caused by using stearated sandpapers. This is a non toxic waterbased formula. Not recommended for bare wood.
About Crystalac and Becker Labs:
Derek Becker went to paint school in San Francisco, CA where he learned how to formulate all kinds of coatings. He worked as Head Chemist and Formulator for several companies before Crystalac was born.
The family owned and operated business all started in a barn in Candler, Florida. The barn is where all the magical formulations began. Not only did Derek make paint, he made all the mixing equipment and machinery to make his batches with.
He had a successful business going, supplying paint and finishes to several local companies, when decided in 1989 to move to Mountain City, Tennessee and opened up their family business called Becker Labs. That is where the manufacturing plant for CrystaLac products was built and is still operating.
The company is now run by Dorinda, the youngest daughter of Derek who has been working along side her father for the past 18 years and now carries on the family brand.
CrystaLac Top Coats are made with the highest quality ingredients and everything is Environmentally Safe! Making all Eco Friendly products that are easy to use and extremely durable plus great customer service, has always been top priority for the company.
CrystaLac Waterborne Finishing Products are premium grade acrylic and polyurethane resins using the latest waterborne technology. These finishes can be used in place of nitrocellulose lacquer, polyurethane, or varnishes and can be applied to wood, metal, or ceramic products. They dry rapidly to form a crystal clear, hard, durable finish. CrystaLac finishes are designed to be used right from the can and are perfect for use with high volume low pressure (HVLP) equipment or can also be easily brushed.
Shipping and Returns
We ship all products offered on this New Life site via USPS, UPS and other major carriers as applicable. Our normal processing time is 1 - 3 days but may be longer after a sale, holidays and other issues out of our control.
Some of our products may ship directly from the manufacturer via similar shipping methods.
We ship orders in the order of receipt and make every effort to ship next business day after an order is received. There may always be conditions that do not allow that as in manufacturer delays in fulfilling our product needs, out of office times and volume of orders received for example.
If you purchase, Priority Mail or other expedited shipping, the shipping time stated is from the associated carrier and only applies to their shipping service levels. It does not apply to the time that it takes to process the order internally, pack it and time for the carrier to pick up the package. Once a package leaves us we have ZERO control over the service performance of the shipping provider.
We make every effort to get your product purchase to you as quickly as is possible but make no guarantees as to the service levels given by any carrier.
Cancellations before the product is shipped or produced is acceptable. We will give you a full refund if the order is cancelled. The order can not be cancelled if the product has already shipped out. To cancel an order, please reach us at [email protected]
Returns: (if applicable)
We accept returns on products. Consumers have the right to apply for a return within 14 days of the receipt.
To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused, sealed and in the same condition that you received it.To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase.
A restocking fee of 20% of the retail value of the product may be applied at our discretion.
Customers will be responsible for the cost of shipping and are required to insure the package for the full value of product being returned.
Special note for 5 Gallon variations:
All 5 gallon orders of any product are considered custom orders and are not eligible for return or refund. Please be certain of your purchase prior to placing it for these products.
Refunds (if applicable)
Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund. If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit of the product cost minus any shipping costs and/or credit card fees, will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within a certain amount of days.
Late or Missing Refunds: (if applicable)
If you haven't received a refund yet, first contact your credit card company or method of payment. It may take some time before your refund is officially posted from Shopify and other payment processors.
